Idaho Woman Entrepreneur Receives "Woman of the Year" Distinction for 2006

Meg Carlson recognized by peers as role model for women business leaders


Boise, Idaho - Meg Carlson, co-founder and principal of The C&H Group, has been selected by representatives of the Idaho Business Review as one of 35 women who will be honored as 2006 Women of the Year. In its charter year, the honorees were selected by a panel of female judges and were determined based on their achievement and leadership within their chosen professions, service as a mentor to other women, contribution of time and effort to volunteer activities and leadership within volunteer organizations.

Carlson is recognized as a community leader and successful business owner who is actively involved in entrepreneurial and service groups. She acquired an extensive background in strategic business development and general management through nearly 20 years with a Fortune 500 company and has been principal at The C&H Group, a business intermediary firm, since 2002. She actively contributes to furthering the development of the entrepreneurial community, through her participation on the boards of Kickstand, an entrepreneurial support group, NAWBO, a mentoring group for women business owners, and Boise Rotary Club, a worldwide service group for business leaders.
