IDAHO WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR FEATURED IN DIVIDEND MAGAZINE PROFILING WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY MBA GRADUATES

Meg Carlson recognized by peers as role model for entrepreneurs

Boise, Idaho – Meg Carlson, co-founder and principal of The C&H Group, has been selected by Dividend magazine as one of five Washington State University MBA graduates to be featured in its August edition. This feature article is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the MBA program and highlights graduates from each of the program’s five decades by focusing on alumni who have pursued successful entrepreneurial and innovative careers.

“Our region is ripe with opportunity for flexible, creative entrepreneurs,” says Carlson.  “Successful startups innovate and change to market conditions so they make certain to invest early in resources that focus on the market and not just on products. If entrepreneurs continue to focus on changing market demands, such as those due to the influence of Baby Boomers and now Generation Y’s, they can offer unique solutions that meet the market’s needs.”

Carlson is recognized as a successful business owner and community leader who is actively involved in entrepreneurial and service groups in the region. She acquired an extensive background in strategic business development and general management through nearly 20 years with a Fortune 500 company. She has been a principal at The C&H Group, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm serving small to midsized companies, since 2002. Carlson and Hall have also advised many entrepreneurs navigating the difficult pathway from start-up to established company. Carlson actively contributes to furthering the advancement of the entrepreneurial community through her participation on the boards of Kickstand -- an entrepreneurial support group, NAWBO -- a mentoring group for women business owners, and Boise Rotary Club-- a worldwide service group for business leaders; is a member of the Boise Angel Fund, and serves on the Advisory Board of Highway 12 Ventures, an Idaho-based venture capital fund.
